A is for Apple... G is for Good!!!

Today, Kenzie had an apple, she just walked by me with it and Maddie grabbed it right out of her hand and dove in. It was so funny. I literally had an apple and a 13 month old's head under my arm. It was too much. I had to put Maddie on the couch and get pictures! Here they are! Mmmm. So this is an apple. She was having so much fun having this apple. And, Yes I know it was a choking hazard, but rest assured, after the photo op, I took it from her, peeled it, chopped it and gave her tiny pieces of it. Too cute to pass up the opportunity here! She is so drooling here. That is what she does anymore. Now for Kenzie, she didn't do much different today. Ryan was himself. Dustin the same. Candice is still pregnant. The baby is due on the 16th of July, so he will be here anytime. I am still just hanging. I will have the talk with Leslie from the Mortgage place tomorrow and she thinks that we can close on it within 2 weeks. We shall see. She has had the best deal for us.

"Mommy, there is a baby in her belly"

Last night as we were all chilling out in the living room, Candice and Kenzie were sitting on the couch and I was sitting in the floor with my brother watching him play Forza on the xbox when Kenzie walked up to me and started feeling my belly. I said, "Kenzie what are you doing" she replied, "I feel Maddie" I then explained that Maddie is no longer in Mommy's belly, and Candice told me that Kenzie got to feel her baby move and that it looked like Kenzie was ever so shocked. It was so funny! She actually thought that I had a baby in my belly because Candice does. It was just so cute. Today, well, Maddie has been a little defiant since she is learning that we stay awake when she is sleeping, so she doesn't want to go to sleep. She is practically running around the house now. She was just my little baby, seems like yesterday and now she is everywhere. And she has a new tooth! On the top. Ryan is the same. I am just chilling out here lately. And t

Holiday World With Kenzie

Mom took Kenzie to Holiday World on Friday. I just thought that I would upload the pics for you. Kenzie had a blast and can't wait to go back. She did get away from Mom for a little while, but the only thing that matters is that she is home safe! Kenzie loved the canoes! She was having so much fun that she didn't want to get off of them. I was so happy that Mom could get a few pictures of her. "No Nana! No Picture of Kenzie" is what I call this pose. She was so funny looking hiding from the camera. And now with the ride going, she didn't know that the picture was being taken. I love it! She wants her pic taken at some times and at others, we have to take them of her when she doesn't know that it is being taken. Fun! Bumper boats! I remember riding this same ride when I was a kid. I am just waiting for us to be able to take both of the girls so that we can go as a family! It will be so much fun. Look, she is being so patient. She was in line with

God is everpresent in our lives....

I have been pretty stressed out here recently, but I know that God is with us because He is always showing me how much He is doing. First, we couldn't get the loan on the first house, then the second one popped up and available. Second, we got approved, but then the lender backed out today. I found a new lender and she is giving us an interest rate that I cannot pass up. I know that it is wierd the way God works, but I know that he will make sure that we are not taking something that we will not be able to afford. Also He has found a way for my soon to be sister in law who is 9 months pregnant to move in with us also. This will help us because when she gets released from the doctor, she is going to get a job so that we can all split the bills and will all be able to save money and raise our young families so much easier. I know that the stress level I have been under lately will start to disappear and I can't wait for that to happen. Also, we may be starting the move n

Meet Uncle Dusty

I know that many of you would like a face to put with the name of Dustin (or as Kenzie calls him Dusty). So I decided to put a pic on here for you to see him. So, now that you have met him, let me tell you about the day we had today. Kenzie was so silly. She went outside and decided that she would drive her jeep until she had no battery left. Then when she got tired of that she got out our tennis rackets and tennis balls and decided that she would try and be a little Venus. Maddie and Kenzie had fun chasing each other around the house while I cooked dinner. It was so funny to hear them both running after or away from each other and laughing! I have been waiting on that for a long time! I am glad they are getting along with each other so well. Ryan and Dustin have been doing well. I am just working on trying to get myself less stressed waiting on the one company about the mortgage. It seems like they are taking forever. I guess that does it for our update. Hope all is well

No Door On The Bedroom!!!

Today, I was having a very bad day. I couldn't get anything done. I just felt like Kenzie was the enemy. She wouldn't listen to a word I said. She was slamming doors and beating on the walls when Maddie was trying to nap because she wanted her sissy awake and playing. I finally got fed up with it, and , well, I took the doors off of the hinges. It was so funny. Kenzie looked at the door laying across my bed and just sat there quietly for about an hour knowing that Mommy meant business, and then she started listening to me for a while. Then Daddy came home and well, lets just say that Kenzie told on Mommy! Daddy went and looked, then laughed because when he was a child, his dad did the same thing to his Mom! Needless to say, we told his parents and they just had a good laugh about it. Anyway, that pretty much sums up our day. I will get pics when I get a chance.

We Love Our Daddy!

Hello, Kenzie here. We know that Mommy had to work yesterday for father's day, so we decided that we would help Mommy make a cake for Daddy today. We do hope you like it. I picked out the colors and I am sure that Daddy will love it! I think that it is great. I had so much fun helping Mommy with it. We didn't get to do much else with him for Father's Day this year because Mommy had to work and Mommy is stressing about the new house a lot right now, but I understand. We love Daddy very much and we will make it up to him with plenty of hugs and kisses. We are signing out for the night. Love you all very much, Kenzie and Maddie

I am so so so so so sorry.

I know that I have sort of abandoned you guys here lately, and I will try and be better in the future, but I am so stressing right now. I have my brother living with us right now. He needed a place to live and he is expecting a baby boy anyday now, so I decided that he would be able to move in with us and we will work out the finances together. It will work out I do believe. Let me see, to update you, we haven't been up to much other than trying to wait it out on this house thing. I really am excited but scared at the same time because if the house doesn't appraise for what I need it to, then we will not be able to take it. I sure do hope it will all go well. I will keep you updated as I get the info from the mortgage guy. The appraisal was this morning, and he will be calling me either tomorrow or wednesday. I will be praying really hard between now and then. Maddie is doing great. She is walking everywhere now. Kenzie is just being herself. And we are hanging in

Interesting day!!!

It has been a very interesting day. My brother came over and we talked to him about being a roomate. He is very interested and we will probably start this when we move into the bigger house. So we will all pitch in on all of the bills and groceries. This will work out for all of us since he needs help with his new baby and we have the extra room not to mention all of the equipment he will need for baby Joshua. I can't wait for the baby. He is commin in a couple of weeks. In other news, Maddie has been awake a lot today. Kenzie learned how to steer her Jeep today in the back yard, but no I didn't get any pics since I forgot my camera at the house in Charlestown :(. Ryan is Ryan. I am me. And that is that. I will get pics soon. I promise. ~Dawn~

Goofy Girl

It has been a good day. I got word back from one of the mortgage guys, he informed me that although the house only appraised for 135k three years ago, it will appraise for around 150k now and that is great. Since Mom is gifting the equity down to 115, I will have a huge down payment with the equity in the house. It will be great as soon as I can get us moved in there. Kenzie has been a little on the crazy side today. Laughing like she has never laughed before. I couldn't help but laugh at her myself. I mean it was like she laughed for about 5 minutes straight. She thought that me fooling around with Daddy was funny. Maddie has been great. I couldn't ask for a better baby. And I think that does it for my update, hope all is well. Love, ~Dawn~

Baby Kaleb Needs Your Prayers!

I could never imagine what I would do if Kenzie or Maddie were going through this, but I know that I believe in the power of prayer. I am asking all of you to keep this little baby in your prayers. I also am asking that all of you pass the word to all of your friends. Kristy and Kaleb need as many prayers as they can get. What a weekend....

I had a very busy weekend at work. I mean, it was like I couldn't get anything accomplished, I was just running everywhere. I mean, look at it like this, usually, we are able to get both of our fifteen minute breaks and our 1/2 hour lunch break in each shift. First, we didn't get any of our 15's. And had to force our 30's, so that means, that for first shift none of the 4 of us could take our short breaks and on second none of the three of us did. It really sucked. I couldn't believe how busy it was. I had a patient, who I love to pieces. I admire this woman. She is so very strong with everything going on with her. She started crying at about 10pm last night, I asked her what was wrong, she said, "I know that me going home on Tuesday is going to be a good thing for me, but man am I gonna miss you. You have helped me so much, I just don't know how to express how much I appreciate it." I was speechless. I just hugged her and told her that I

Lazy Day

Hi all. I have to admit with all the developments that I have had here lately, I decided to take a lazy day. I stayed home. I was available for the mortgage companies, but I didn't do much of anything other than enjoy the girls. Maddie was Maddie. She showed me that she knows how to jump up and down by herself and that she can finally walk without help. She had been crawling a lot still, but now she loves walking. Kenzie hung out and had me make cinnamon rolls. We watched tv some today and I basically just chilled until Ryan got home from work. When he got home, we all had some family time and then I fixed dinner. Ryan then went to watch part of a basketball game(I think) with his friend Maxx. Kenzie played with his golf clubs and Maddie went to bed for the night. Tomorrow I will have to go to Charlestown so that I can charge my cell phone since the charger is in the new house since I was supposed to be there today. I also have to get the water cut on. I need that done

Mrs. Fix it!

Mackenzie has been into fixing things here lately. It is so funny. She had gotten a scooter from Papa and Nana. She had me get a screwdriver for her so she could work on fixing it. Here are the pics of her being a little mechanic. I hope you all enjoy those as much as I have enjoyed them. Tonight, I am going to be taking the air mattress and blanket, with me and the girls to the house in Charlestown so that I can be there tomorrow for cleaning. I already have the pack and play there. I will take plenty of things for the kids to do and the power was turned on today. I just need to be there to do carpets and the like, I just can't get there without the car. I did find out that one of the girls I went to high school with, her mom lives right around the corner from the house we are getting. It is so crazy. I sure can't wait for it all to be over!

Busy day....

With everything that has happened today, Ryan came home from work and we decided that we would go to Charlestown and try to do as much cleaning in the house as we could before dark. We didn't get very much done because we had to take jugs of water with us since the water isn't on and we had to get things done quick since there wasn't electricity on yet. It was late so we cleaned the windows upstairs, Ryan swept and mopped the kitchen and both bathrooms along with the dining room and den. I cleaned the bar area downstairs. We got some done, but not a lot and we will be going back when there are utilities on so that we can do the carpets and get the rest of the stuff done. I will keep you all updated on the whole thing as I have updates for you. Maddie has decided that she now knows how to yell at her "DADDY" she now does this repetively in the car as we go anywhere. When she figures out that she is getting the point across she smiles and then pipes right down to lo

House in Charlestown

Hi guys, I thought I would put the pics of the house on here for all of you to see. My computer is back up now. I got the ac adapter today. And the mortgage company is working on the paperwork. They will call me with a rate as soon as the appraisal is done. This is the front of the house. I really did fall in love with this house all over again. I have some landscaping to do, but I talked to mom and she is going to let me take some of the plants from the house we currently live in and do the landscaping there with them. I think I can reallly make the front of the house look good with the plants I currently have. There is a two car garage and a breezeway. The breezeway connects the house to the garage. That is really nice. Ryan was quite pleased when the car fit in the breezway and he could back it out with no problems. This picture shows how the house connects to the garage and the steps in the back are the steps that go up to the deck. When you go in the house, if you go upst

Here Fishy....

I finished the cake that I got ordered this morning. It is quite a last minute thing, but Enedina gave me the say in what I did with it and with it being so nice lately and she said that her daughter would love anything I make, so I decided on this one... I really liked that design, so I went with it. I hope her little girl likes it. Kenzie hasn't been up to much here lately other than driving Mommy crazy. Maddie has been herself. Just getting into everything here lately and talking up a storm. Ryan and I have been centering on getting some work outside done. This week, we took up all of the landscape timbers so that we can start getting the brick that I want and laying it as we get it. I will love it so much more. We are also working on getting the bushes and plants that I don't like gone so that I can start putting the landscape to better use as far as my tastes go. I am putting in a butterfly garden next spring in the back yard and I want to put in a water feature in

GULP! HELP!

Well in case you were wondering, I just got an order for a little girls 8th birthday, and the mom didn't tell me anything she likes. She just said she will pick it up from me at work TOMORROW. I usually don't do last minute things like this, but I agreed to do it since I was talking to her about it last week at work and she was supposed to let me know by Sunday what she wanted. Here it is Friday and I just found out. Off to start Mixing. Hope all turns out well. We will see! Love, Dawn
