DISCIPLINE

But Jesus often withdrew
to lonely places and prayed.
Luke 5:16

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART

My child, before any major works or accomplishments, there must come discipline. The runner in the race must prepare physically and emotionally, and the soldier must train diligently for battle. Likewise, My children must discipline themselves to be fit for My kingdom’s work. I, too, knew the discipline of drawing close to My Father. Your body cannot handle the pressure of constant movement. Your mind needs to pause from fast forward, and your spirit needs quiet retreat in My presence. I’ll help you, Child. Rest in Me.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE

Lord, even You needed time alone, time to commune with Your Father, time to think, time to rest. And that took discipline. I, too, need that discipline and time alone with You. Like a tree planted by the water, my roots can then grow deep into the soil of Your love. Thank You for Your discipline.

SIMPLE TRUTH

The road less traveled is often the road traveled alone.

MEMORY FULL....

So,after not falling asleep until well after 2am this morning, I got up at 8, and got the kids ready, packed the van and we were off to Mom's for Maddie's party.... So, I made sure I didn't forget my camera. That was a major thing... so, we get there and the castle jump was already there. The girls went and got in it right away, I started taking pics. After just 5 pictures, a screen says, Memory Full. I had forgotten my memory card. And since I had to go to walmart for mom anyway, I got a disposable camera to do the party with. So, no pics til I get them developed and then I have to scan them to the desktop so I can then download them here... Long process but you will like the pics (i think). Anyway, I am off. TTYL! Dawn

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
