HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENZIE!

Kenzie has had a good day! It was her birthday, she got presents, cake, and to go to Nana and Papa's house! What a lucky kid! She is 5 and we can't believe it now! Such a big girl. She did share her day with her sissy! Such a sweetie! We took one of the certificates that she got from her bus drivers and took the two of them to McDonalds. They got their Cheeseburgers and were happy. We made Taco Salad at the request of the birthday girl for her dinner! She played all day and that was that. She still isn't back to normal. She still has her nose running like a sugar tree! But then other than that, she is fine. She got money from Uncle Dave and Aunt Vicky and Great Grandpa Craig, so this week when I go to town, she is going to go pick out presents to replace the money. She keeps saying she wants a horse (webkinz) so I think that will probably be one of the presents. She can get up to 4 webkinz on the amount she got from them. So, we will just have to see what she does. She also got a belladancerella cheerleader thing from Amanda and Deke. (She opened that the other day because we were not sick that day but could feel it comming, so I went on and let her have the present from you and Carol and Roy). Carol and Roy got her a whiz kid learning system and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Then yesterday or the day before, Grandma Tigger sent a package to her. She had it ripped open before she and daddy got in the house from getting the mail. She got an outfit from her. She loved it. Then Mom and Pop gave her candy hearts, an outfit and a unicorn stuffed animal! So, all in all she did well. Ryan and I are still waiting on what we got her to be delivered. We got her a phonics kit, and it hasn't been delivered to the school yet. When it does, I will either save it for valentines day or give it to her now. We are debating that because there is something else that Ryan wants to get for her for her birthday, so we will see! The girls are gone and I am about to do a little laundry, so I will check in again probably Monday!

The importance of connections

Many times, we don't take the opportunity in life to think about connections. Much like the way legos connect to erect the building or vehicle you are trying to create, without connecting pieces, our lives would fall apart. It's not often that we take time to reflect on those connections in meaningful ways. If I am honest, when we moved from Indiana back to Florida, we didn't appreciate the connections we had and so as I look back I wonder what life would have been like if we'd not only appreciated those connections, but supported them in meaningful ways.  Since moving to Greenville, not only have we made connections, but we've made it a part of life to connect with those people we've met that have become more like family than friends. We took the time to find a church that really believes in connecting with their people and not in a way that makes the patrons of the church feel like they are just a player in the game of chess and that player's job is to be

I have tried a few times and failed to save this on my computer, so I'm going to try here. Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
