70 X 7 Women's Conference

While I haven't been good with updating this blog, I wanted to share something that I went to last night.  It was an amazing night!  I'll first start with some background info...

What is 70 x 7?  It's a ministry started by a dear friend of mine, Donna.  It was birthed 5 years ago, but last night was the first time that the team was able to hold the conference was held in the United States.  In the past, it has been done on Mission Trips.  So, I was touched just knowing that I was part of the first 200 women to experience this on our home soil!

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.  Matthew 18: 21-22

This is the verse that the conference was birthed on.  When we go back to the greek it translates to forgiveness!  Not 490 times but unlimited forgiveness!

So, on to what touched me.  First, the footwashing!  I had never experienced it.  It was something that Jesus did for his disciples, and to be honest, I wasn't sure when I went there that I would participate, but I did and came away highly blessed for allowing a young lady to minister to me!  She did it not because I had dirty feet, afterall I had just showered, but because she has a servants heart and wanted to serve the Lord in this way.  While she was washing my feet, she was so cute, see, I had worn stockings with my dress, and she was sure I would ask not to wash through them, but I wanted to experience it, so I allowed her to wash through them.  The prayer she prayed really opened my heart to experience the conference in it's entirety!  Thank you special lady!  You know who you are!  Love you lots!

There were a few skits about the woman at the well, the woman with the issue of blood and the prostitute.  they were all forgiven their sins, as we must learn to forgive those who have tresspassed against us.  It's hard sometimes to do, and we struggle daily, but as this conference goes on, there's music that speaks to us, but one of the biggest points is when my best friend and sister in Christ signed NOT GUILTY!  It really spoke to me.  In everything I do, I must remember that the verdict is NOT GUILTY!  God forgives me!

In posting this, I'm encouraging you ladies, if this conference comes to you, please, by all means go to it!  It's an amazing experience, from the leaving your issues on the cross, to tossing your stone to the foot of the cross where it belongs, all the way to the prayers, communion, etc.  it's a wonderful

The importance of connections

Many times, we don't take the opportunity in life to think about connections. Much like the way legos connect to erect the building or vehicle you are trying to create, without connecting pieces, our lives would fall apart. It's not often that we take time to reflect on those connections in meaningful ways. If I am honest, when we moved from Indiana back to Florida, we didn't appreciate the connections we had and so as I look back I wonder what life would have been like if we'd not only appreciated those connections, but supported them in meaningful ways.  Since moving to Greenville, not only have we made connections, but we've made it a part of life to connect with those people we've met that have become more like family than friends. We took the time to find a church that really believes in connecting with their people and not in a way that makes the patrons of the church feel like they are just a player in the game of chess and that player's job is to be

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
