A is for Apple... G is for Good!!!

Today, Kenzie had an apple, she just walked by me with it and Maddie grabbed it right out of her hand and dove in. It was so funny. I literally had an apple and a 13 month old's head under my arm. It was too much. I had to put Maddie on the couch and get pictures! Here they are!

Mmmm. So this is an apple. She was having so much fun having this apple. And, Yes I know it was a choking hazard, but rest assured, after the photo op, I took it from her, peeled it, chopped it and gave her tiny pieces of it.

Too cute to pass up the opportunity here! She is so drooling here. That is what she does anymore.

Now for Kenzie, she didn't do much different today. Ryan was himself. Dustin the same. Candice is still pregnant. The baby is due on the 16th of July, so he will be here anytime. I am still just hanging. I will have the talk with Leslie from the Mortgage place tomorrow and she thinks that we can close on it within 2 weeks. We shall see. She has had the best deal for us. I really am pleased with her. I will so be glad when we get to move. On another note, I had Candice help me decide on the color for the kitchen even though she hasn't been in that house, but I sort of had a cheat sheet. I have the fiesta dishes. I have one color that is like the same color as the counter tops up there in the house. So we simply laid all the colors out and picked one that we thought would look nice with it. We are going with the periwinkle cabinet tops and painting the walls tangerine. I really like the combination. I will pick colors for the other rooms when I get the kitchen done. Keep in touch all!

Love,

Dawn

The importance of connections

Many times, we don't take the opportunity in life to think about connections. Much like the way legos connect to erect the building or vehicle you are trying to create, without connecting pieces, our lives would fall apart. It's not often that we take time to reflect on those connections in meaningful ways. If I am honest, when we moved from Indiana back to Florida, we didn't appreciate the connections we had and so as I look back I wonder what life would have been like if we'd not only appreciated those connections, but supported them in meaningful ways.  Since moving to Greenville, not only have we made connections, but we've made it a part of life to connect with those people we've met that have become more like family than friends. We took the time to find a church that really believes in connecting with their people and not in a way that makes the patrons of the church feel like they are just a player in the game of chess and that player's job is to be

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
