Blueberry Girls and more.....

I found out this morning that Maddie loves blueberries just like her sister! Kenzie had gone to the refrigerator and gotten a container out of the frige, they sat in the middle of the floor and ate and ate and ate! I should have known that Maddie would love them just like sissy does! And Kenzie thinks she has done a great job sharing with her sister. It is great. Yesterday we didn't have too much going on... We got up, had breakfast, played, and when Maddie went down for her nap, Candice and I worked on the Playroom. When she got up, I cooked dinner, and we ate. Then Candice and I went to the store. We needed to get the grocery shopping done, and boy did we do it... We saved almost $67 in store coupons with using the Jay C Card. I was so excited about this, but come to think of it, if I were to use coupons from the newspaper, wonder how much we would save.
Tammy decided to bring the dog back, she said she thought that Angel missed Kenzie. So we pretty much decided to share the pup with her. I put a few pics on the computer of her, so here they are...

So, on to other things, I am baking a cake today! The first one in a while. It is a monkey! I will post a pic as soon as I get it done. I can't wait to see how it comes out. It is for Jenny's best friend's birthday! It is so cool! Hopefully it will come out nicely. I also plan on doing more pics of the girls soon.

Other things that have happened lately, I sent Ryan to Once Upon a Child for some clothes for Kenzie for school. He did great! He got a never been worn, tags still on Old Navy t shirt, a pair of Levi Strauss blue jean shorts, a pair of Mossimo Jeans and another pair of jeans with flowers on them all for only $27. I was so happy. He did awesome and Kenzie loved them.

So I guess the last thing is that I have a meeting to go to, so I will post more later!

Love,

Dawn

The importance of connections

Many times, we don't take the opportunity in life to think about connections. Much like the way legos connect to erect the building or vehicle you are trying to create, without connecting pieces, our lives would fall apart. It's not often that we take time to reflect on those connections in meaningful ways. If I am honest, when we moved from Indiana back to Florida, we didn't appreciate the connections we had and so as I look back I wonder what life would have been like if we'd not only appreciated those connections, but supported them in meaningful ways.  Since moving to Greenville, not only have we made connections, but we've made it a part of life to connect with those people we've met that have become more like family than friends. We took the time to find a church that really believes in connecting with their people and not in a way that makes the patrons of the church feel like they are just a player in the game of chess and that player's job is to be

I have tried a few times and failed to save this on my computer, so I'm going to try here. Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
