Gulp..... I lost it....

I have not had a very productive day. Yes, I got Kenzie registered for preschool, but in the process, I lost my cell phone. I remeber the last time I used it was in Mom's van, so when I got home, I called the school teacher and office, neither had seen it. Mom is going to be searching her van for me. Kenzie is so excited that she will be starting school on Monday. She has been carrying her back pack around all day. Maddie was a little strange today. The pics will tell the story. And I guess that is about all that went on today. Instantly Kenzie became our little model. She loved posing today. I am just so happy that she likes this. She was ever so excited that we were getting ready to go register her for school. So she was willing to take pics. Hope you enjoy them.

I took this picture the other day when Kenzie decided that she would dress herself. And asked Candice to do her hair. Then instantly she decided her name was "Sassyfrass" it was so cute.

So, Maddie was ok for a few minutes. I had put her shoes on her. She was doing ok. Dimples and all, but not for long. I call this one "NO SHOES MOMMY!" She was so upset. She hated the idea of me putting the shoes on her. She continued to take them off and Kenzie kept putting them back on her. It was hillarious. I took more pics, but chose to only post a few. Hope you enjoyed seeing my baby upset with me.

"Mommy, thank you for letting me take my shoes off." She was so much happier after the shoes were off. And just to let you know, Maddie is such a smart baby. She saw Kenzie turning on a light, and when she did this, I said, "Light" Maddie looked at me while pointing to the switch and said "MaMa, light" it sounded more like "lie" but she tried.

Anyway, that was our update for today. Hope you enjoyed it and I will be letting you know if we find my cell phone since I am lost without it.

Love,

Dawn

The importance of connections

Many times, we don't take the opportunity in life to think about connections. Much like the way legos connect to erect the building or vehicle you are trying to create, without connecting pieces, our lives would fall apart. It's not often that we take time to reflect on those connections in meaningful ways. If I am honest, when we moved from Indiana back to Florida, we didn't appreciate the connections we had and so as I look back I wonder what life would have been like if we'd not only appreciated those connections, but supported them in meaningful ways.  Since moving to Greenville, not only have we made connections, but we've made it a part of life to connect with those people we've met that have become more like family than friends. We took the time to find a church that really believes in connecting with their people and not in a way that makes the patrons of the church feel like they are just a player in the game of chess and that player's job is to be

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
