A Royal Potty for a Princess

Last night, while at walmart, I saw that they had the royal potty for under $20.00, so we picked one up for little Maddie. She loves it as long as she is fully clothed. I know it will take an adjustment period, so I can't wait until she pee's in it for the first time. I took a little water and poured it in there to show her what will happen when she pee's in it. It played music and her eyes got so big with joy I wasn't sure if they would stay in their sockets! It was so cute. So hopefully, she will be into potty training soon.

Kenzie is at school although, she woke up saying "I AM NOT GOING TO SCHOOL MOMMY!" and I told her she had no choice. She was going to school and she would like it. Needless to say she got up and got dressed and off she went. Such a grumpy girl today.

Ryan got up and was out of the houe before 5 am for his first day on LIFESKILLS he has since called me and he loves it.

I on the other hand am going to continue on the spring cleaning today. I think I will master Maddie's room today and hopefully get started on Kenzie's room as well. Then tonight when Ryan gets home I am sanding and painting the cabinet in the bathroom upstairs. Can't wait for it to be finished.

So that is us for now. Talk more later.

Oh, Carol is out of her first surgery fine, her second isn't for a week or so (I thought they were going to do them all in the same hospital stay, but I guess not). Just thought I would give all the update.

The importance of connections

Many times, we don't take the opportunity in life to think about connections. Much like the way legos connect to erect the building or vehicle you are trying to create, without connecting pieces, our lives would fall apart. It's not often that we take time to reflect on those connections in meaningful ways. If I am honest, when we moved from Indiana back to Florida, we didn't appreciate the connections we had and so as I look back I wonder what life would have been like if we'd not only appreciated those connections, but supported them in meaningful ways.  Since moving to Greenville, not only have we made connections, but we've made it a part of life to connect with those people we've met that have become more like family than friends. We took the time to find a church that really believes in connecting with their people and not in a way that makes the patrons of the church feel like they are just a player in the game of chess and that player's job is to be

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
