Stress

Well, where do we begin? How about Saturday at work. I was having a not so happy day because they had scheduled me once again for the unit that I have requested that I not be put on, so I was told that I had one assignment and the and hour later, after I had done everything that could be done before breakfast, a girl says, I decided that I want this assignment. So, being the nice person that I am, I let her have it and then played catch up all day on the second assignment that she had not done anything on. I felt like I had been taken advantage of. Then the nurses and supervisor acted like they didn't care that she had done that to me. Sunday they couldn't decide which unit they wanted me on. They kept sending me back and forth, then right about the time I get the one they want me on and get to take a break the girl from Saturday came to find me on my break to chew me out and threaten me because she is an unhappy person. I reported it to the Supervisor who had me write out a statement, called her into the office, and who knows what was said, but they were there for like 45 minutes. Then when things were getting back to smooth, a patient came home and found some things moved in their room. They blamed me because I was their aide, luckily, Polly decided it was probably the other patient who is known for going in and out of other patients rooms. So then, on the way home, the car only just made it up the hill. It was sputtering really bad. Ryan stayed home from work yesterday and we went to get mom's van, then we dropped the car off at the shop. Hopefully we will have some sort of report at some point today. Kenzie is off to school, and I think Maddie jumped on the bandwagon with Brooklyn and Isabella! Last week they had bed head, today was Maddie's turn. Here are the pics!

Why the flash so early in the morning Mom!

No more please!

Mom, you are so done with that camera!

So that is what is going on here!
Love,
Dawn

The importance of connections

Many times, we don't take the opportunity in life to think about connections. Much like the way legos connect to erect the building or vehicle you are trying to create, without connecting pieces, our lives would fall apart. It's not often that we take time to reflect on those connections in meaningful ways. If I am honest, when we moved from Indiana back to Florida, we didn't appreciate the connections we had and so as I look back I wonder what life would have been like if we'd not only appreciated those connections, but supported them in meaningful ways.  Since moving to Greenville, not only have we made connections, but we've made it a part of life to connect with those people we've met that have become more like family than friends. We took the time to find a church that really believes in connecting with their people and not in a way that makes the patrons of the church feel like they are just a player in the game of chess and that player's job is to be

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
