My Grammy Nomination....

I am nominating Mackenzie Lynn Cox for a Grammy! (No, Carol, she didn't start calling you that). She has been going around singing "Go on up to the Mountain of Mercy" here lately, but everytime she sings it she learns a few more words to it. So she goes something like this.

"GO UP TO THE MOUNTAIN O MERCY,
....... TIDE
KNEEL DOWN ON THE SHO THIRSTY NO MO..."

I think you get the picture. It is so funny to hear her trying to sing it! I thank Megan and Chris for that one too! They sang it at church one night and she loved it from that moment so I play it all the time for her!

Maddie is doing really well. She is such a hammmm. She woke up from her nap and when I went after her, she looked up at me, smiled and said "Hi" I couldn't believe it. Although, I know my baby is growing up and she is the last one for us. We can't put another baby through what she went through or worse, so we decided right away that she would be our last miracle and that she is!

Ryan is working today. He should be home in about an hour..

We are still waiting to hear from Mike on the car.

I got my vacation for Florida in December.

And that is about it.

MEMORY FULL....

So,after not falling asleep until well after 2am this morning, I got up at 8, and got the kids ready, packed the van and we were off to Mom's for Maddie's party.... So, I made sure I didn't forget my camera. That was a major thing... so, we get there and the castle jump was already there. The girls went and got in it right away, I started taking pics. After just 5 pictures, a screen says, Memory Full. I had forgotten my memory card. And since I had to go to walmart for mom anyway, I got a disposable camera to do the party with. So, no pics til I get them developed and then I have to scan them to the desktop so I can then download them here... Long process but you will like the pics (i think). Anyway, I am off. TTYL! Dawn

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
