Yes Lord, Yes Lord, Yes Yes Lord, Amen

I was in the kitchen when I heard out of no where "Yes Lord, Yes Lord, Yes Yes Lord, Amen" being sung. When I found the source of the singing, I realized that Kenzie was the singer! She loved that song at church last night! She continued singing it all afternoon! She had a good day at school. Maddie had a good day here at home. She played and played. She is getting to where she hates taking her naps. She runs and runs and runs! She kept her shoes on today, which is a first. I even got her to keep on the hat that Nana Carolyn got her for Christmas last year! It was priceless, and yes I have a pic I will send to you! Ryan had a good day at work. Then he came home and we moved our bed finally upstairs. We decided that the downstairs would be too cold this winter to sleep there! So now, we have our bedroom up here! I think we will enjoy it. We had the "What do you want for Christmas" discussion today. He didn't really give me much of an idea, but I told him to do something to improve the house for me for my present. I think in the long run, it will be best for me to have the house improved! We still can't figure out what is wrong with our car, so we are going to be taking it to another shop to get a second opinion. I will keep you all updated as I find things out. And I think that about does it! Oh yeah, Mom okayed us using her van to go to Ohio next month! We can't wait!
Love,
Dawnie

  2. That is so awesome that after one night, she's already singing the songs! If only we could get everyone in the congregation doing that! HA!

MEMORY FULL....

So,after not falling asleep until well after 2am this morning, I got up at 8, and got the kids ready, packed the van and we were off to Mom's for Maddie's party.... So, I made sure I didn't forget my camera. That was a major thing... so, we get there and the castle jump was already there. The girls went and got in it right away, I started taking pics. After just 5 pictures, a screen says, Memory Full. I had forgotten my memory card. And since I had to go to walmart for mom anyway, I got a disposable camera to do the party with. So, no pics til I get them developed and then I have to scan them to the desktop so I can then download them here... Long process but you will like the pics (i think). Anyway, I am off. TTYL! Dawn

Workout #27

So, here's the challenge. And above, you can see my entry. Kenzie had done crosswords or circle a words (I can't remember) with Gigi and I snapped a pic of her doing it. I absolutely love the design of the sketch we were supposed to use for this lo. It allows for a simple, yet stunning layout. It allows room for journaling as you can see that I added as well as plenty of negative space! And the breakdown goes like this, picture was taken from my collection, background paper was from k and company the best of k and company pad, the circles were literally just picked out of my scrap box. I didn't even look at the papers, i just did a random pick. the lettering was taken from an old sheet of alphas i had and I think they worked out great!!! Simple yet Stunning! Thank you Scrap Fit for the challenge.
